Govt. plans economic centre in Omanthai

The government has planned to set up the country’s largest economic centre in Omanthai, to facilitate trade between the North and the South, said Trade and Consumer Services Minister Bandula Gunawardane. Mr. Gunawardane told Daily Mirror that a land 20 acres in extent was identified in the area on Saturday, close to both the northern railway line and the A9 road, to set up this economic centre.
